Computer Concepts (I.T 101)

Computer - is an electronic device operating under the control of instructions stored in its own memory.
It goes on the process of collecting data, processing and then it produces information.

Components of Computer

1. Input Devices - allows to enter data and information

ex.webcam, keyboard, microphone, mouse and scanner

2. Output Devices - hardware components that conveys information to one or more people.

ex. speaker, printer & monitor

3. System Unit/CPU - case that contains the electronic components of the computer that are used to process data.

4. Storage Devices - used to store data or files.

ex. flash drive, external hard disk, card reader/ card writer, memory cards & optical disk.

5. Communication Devices - enable the computer to receive data, instruction, information into one or more computer or mobile devices.

ex. wifi, bluetooth, infrared, modem(routers)

FACTS...

Computer nowadays are very useful because it plays an important role in our lives. Most especially to students who are working on their researches and assignments. Some students prefer the use of the computer because of its speed, reliability, consistency, storage and to communicate. But prior to this advantages, the computer also results to various detriment when it comes to our health and personal aspects. Excessive used of the computer might cause a person risk his health. It may also violate his privacy and may affects public safety. It has great impact on labor force and in the environment.

What is Internet? and why is it important?

INTERNET- international network. It is the worldwide collection of networks that connects billions of individuals, business, government or agencies.

Why are those SOCIAL FANATIC people use internet? Importance?

*Most probably people use internet in order for them to communicate, to do some researches, to access information, to shop online, to sell, to do internet banking, for entertainment, to download videos, share information, web applications and Job hunting.
